ACUPUNCTURE
WORKS!
Anita Fleice, R.Ac., is a Registered Acupuncturist, and licensed
under BC Provincial Regulations.
Acupuncture is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine, or TCM, a body of
knowledge and theory which can complement Western Medicine in the
diagnosis and treatment of most disorders of the human body and psyche,
but is most often sought out for pain relief.
In addition to Acupuncture, other treatment modalities might be included
in a session:
-
Acupressure
-
Tui Na
massage (Chinese massage)
-
Moxibustion (Deep heat)
-
Electro-stimulation (like TENS)
-
Cupping
(Deep massage)
-
Herbology
and Diet Therapy
Anita's
TCM practice also includes Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture®, which
involves treating the whole body...the best way to revive the
complexion!
An
Acupuncture treatment typically takes an hour, loose comfortable
clothing is preferred, and only sterile disposable and very fine needles
are used, so there is mild to no sensation, but a feeling of relaxation.
Acupuncture prompts and facilitates the human body to heal itself, and
results can be dramatic and immediate, or subtle and progressive.
Acupuncture stimulates the body to release relaxing endorphins and often
clients drift off to sleep in a treatment session -- great for stress
relief!
Acupuncture and
Traditional Chinese Medicine is often sought for treatment of:
headaches, insomnia, menopausal complaints, gynecological disorders,
sciatic and back pain, sports injuries, general pain management, weight
loss, digestive complaints, to help stop smoking, addictions and more.
